Yes, I want to
How can I help?
The Conservative Party is focused, above all else, on "getting Brexit done." The Party Manifesto mentions inequality only twice: once in relation to building more hospitals and once in relation to strengthening the union by "tackling inequality and deprivation in each of our four nations."
The Conservatives claim to be serious about tackling the climate crisis, but argue that this can only be done through "free markets, innovation and prosperity." Although Boris Johnson has announced a (temporary) moratorium on fracking, the history of the last 9 years of Conservative governments has been one that has consistently sacrificed climate targets in favour of big business interests.
In terms of nuclear weapons, the Conservative Party remains fully committed to Britain's nuclear weapons and appears to want to hold onto them indefinitely, despite the UK's legal obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Inequality:
1. Progressive tax code - 0
The Conservatives have consistently cut taxes, including corporation tax, and the higher rate of tax for the wealthiest. They promise in their current election mainfesto not to raise taxes for anyone.
2. Global agreement on tax havens - 0
The Conservatives do not even talk about tax havens as a problem and have done nothing to try to force large companies paying zero UK tax to contribute their fair share to the UK economy.
3. Create 1 million decent jobs - 0
Conservatives talk a lot about "creating jobs" through economic growth, but there is no mention of these being well-paid or union jobs. The truth is that many of these jobs are poorly paid and many people have to work more than one job to pay their bills.
4. Subsidise fossil-free homes - 0
The Conservatives have cut subsidies for solar and wind installations and have no plans to support people in making that transition.
5. Improved social services - 1
The Conservative Party talks the talk of "improving" social services, building more hospitals, hiring more police, providing more money to schools, etc. Their record is one of cutting services year after year on the grounds of 'austerity'.
6. Commit to SDG goals for 2030 - 0
The Conservative Party promises to maintain the UK's commitment to 0.7% of GDP going to support international development. It does not specifically talk about the SDGs or about reducing poverty and inequality globally as one of Britain's responsibilities in the world.
Climate:
1. Fossil-free electricity by 2030 - 0
The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) have recommended a path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The Conservatives have promised to implement this, but have fallen considerably behind existing commitments on that front. There is no mention of immediate targets to be reached by 2030.
2. Electric vehicles by 2030 - 1
The CCC have suggested all new vehicles should be electric by 2035, and "if possible" by 2030, but the Conservative Party has not actually endorsed this.
3. Fossil-free new builds by 2025 and retrofits by 2050 - 1
The Conservative Party has committed to major reductions in carbon emissions from buildings by 2050 but has said nothing about the immediate need to change building regs for new construction to be fossil-free as soon as possible.
4. Phase out of HFCs - 0
No mention of HFC refrigerants.
5. Double forest cover - 1
The Conservatives have promised to plant 30 million trees a year for the next 10 years. This is equivalent to re-foresting about 16,000 hectares per year, roughly half of the 32,000 hectares per year which the CCC had recommended earlier and well short of the 50,000 they now recommend.
6. Strengthen Paris Agreement - 0
There has been no talk about re-negotiating the Paris Agreement.
Nuclear weapons
1. Renounce pressing the button - 0
Boris Johnson is fully supportive of the doctrine of so-called nuclear "deterrence" - which bases the nation's defence strategy on the threat to annihilate whole populations and potentially the whole human race.
2. Affirm existing disarm obligations - 0
It is official UK policy to work for the elimination of all nuclear weapons worldwide, in line with the UK's legal obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). However successive Conservative governments have paid no attention to that, and a Boris Johnson government is unlikely to change that.
3. Sign the Nuclear Ban Treaty - 0
The Conservative Party is utterly opposed to the Nuclear Ban Treaty.
4. Remove from operational status - 0
There is no discussion on steps to reduce the nuclear danger in line with the Nuclear Ban Treaty.
5. Negotiate timetable to disarm - 0
There is no discussion on negotiating a timetable to disarm in line with the Nuclear Ban Treaty.
6. Dismantle weapons by 2030 - 0
No discussion of this deadline, or any deadline.
