This is considered a Labour seat at risk from Remain The LibDems are targeting this seat because of the strong support for Remain here. Labour won won this seat at the last election with a majority of 4224 over the LD candidate. However, 16388 voted for Brexit in the 2016 referendum here. That represents 35% of the voters in this constituency. The Labour Party can hold onto this seat so long as people who are committed to a second referendum on Brexit and a government that will address climate, inequality and nuclear weapons decide to vote Labour.
